My Yoga Journey

First finding yoga over 25 years ago as a great form of physical exercise, I quickly realized that the body isn't the only thing yoga exercises. Now with a strong asana practice and a desire to serve my community, I have embarked on a journey to delve deeper into yoga philosophy and the tools yoga offers for use on and off the mat. I am a huge fan of using props and I encourage students to meet themselves on the mat in the present moment. I teach a vinyasa flow with an emphasis on finding the balance between sthira and sukha (effort and ease) to allow for a full mind, body and soul workout. I believe the practice of yoga provides great support off the mat in our technology infused and fast paced world, enabling us to slow down and be fully present in our own mind, body and space.

I have also infused my love of music and yoga to offer fully immersive sound baths, using different sounds and frequencies that invite deep relaxation and rest. With the use of crystal & Tibetan bowls, chimes, gong, sea & wave drums, monochord, harmonium, voice and many other instruments I invite you to go within and find a deeper sense of calm. Benefits include stress management, enhanced focus, better sleep, mental clarity, a deeper state of consciousness and much more.

Once a year I embark on a personal journey to deepen my practice of yoga. Whether that be meditation, asana, breathwork or all three it has taken me to some incredible places in this wide world. Indonesia, Costa Rica and India are a few. This not only allows me to deepen my personal practice, but it depeens my understanding of yoga philosophy and origin. It opens my mind, heart and soul to new and challenging experiences. It also teaches me that yoga is not just about the peaceful moments. It’s also about the struggles and how we approach them. Yoga has truly enriched my life in a way that nothing else has. When I am struggling I always come back to the breath, which grounds me and brings me back into the present moment. This is where we should live. Come be present with me. Come home to yourself.

I am incredibly grateful to hold space for each and every one of you and offer the framework and guidance for a yoga journey that you can personalize as your own. I truly believe that yoga offers us the tools to tap into our inner bliss in all situations in life. Come join me and see what magic you can create!
